Quark announces XPress 7 launch event
Quark has officially invited customers to its special ‘Launch me’ event at the Congress Centre in London on June 2.
The news is the strongest suggestion yet that Quark is preparing to ship XPress 7.
The event has been declared to celebrate the UK and Ireland launch of QuarkXPress 7, the company said. The announcement confirms an earlier report confirming these plans, along with a US product showcase tour.
The all-day event begins at 9am with an exclusive invitation-only keynote presentation by Quark executives. The main conference and exhibition begins at 10am and is open to everyone.
“Attendees will learn how customers are already using the new features of QuarkXPress 7 to produce a variety of stunning pieces,” Quark said. The event will also feature discussions about best practices and presentations regarding fonts, colour management, PDF and collaboration.
Attendees will also get the chance to try QuarkXPress 7 with the help of expert trainers in one of the five hands-on zones. Each zone will offer tutorial materials and example exercises to showcase how XPress 7 can help in real situations.
“This event is more than a product launch, it’s an opportunity for attendees to experience XPress 7 and the compelling value it brings to our customers,” said Gavin Drake, Quark’s European marketing director.
“We invite customers to join us at the Congress Centre in London for a unique day to hear industry experts reveal their opinions of XPress 7, get hands-on experience with the product, meet with Quark partners, relax, and network with design and publishing industry colleagues.”
The day will be supported by a number of leading industry suppliers, including the event’s platinum partner HP. Pantone, Extensis and Canto will also be there. These partners will share their expertise in colour management, fonts, output and asset management. There will also be an exhibition area at the event.
Free food and drinks and a relaxation zone will be available.
